Roger Roger Super Battle Droids are here!

Roger Roger! The new B2 Super Battle Droids are now arriving! These were first unveiled in a 2 pack with an Attack of the Clones C-3P0. But many like me waited for the solo release of these droids. These were well worth the wait.

Hasbro did a great job with these guys! They matched what we saw on the screen elegantly.

I’m actually very impressed with the articulation, especially when compared to other droids we’ve gotten. It does have a wide range of mobility.

Another fun feature is that the droid’s chest plate comes off. It does reveal a decent amount of details of the droid’s inner workings. Even the back of the place has inner details. It might have been fun if they included a swappable place that was battle-damaged.

The blaster effect is also really good. It’s longer than most other blast effects and is firm enough that it won’t droop as we’ve seen with some flame effects Hasbro has put out. It does come apart so you can have a much smaller effect if you want.

Over all this is a great addition to the Black Series. There is still a lack of figures for Attack of Clones, and I hope the momentum continues! It is frustrating that this one was a fan channel + Amazon exclusive and not a mainline release. I also think it should not have made its debut in what some call a “hostage pack.” In my opinion, army-building figures shouldn’t be included with a variant of main characters, especially exclusive to one store.
