Dagan Gera Strikes: First figure of 2025
Dagan Gera Arrives!
Dagan Gera arrives from Jedi Survivor to the Black Series. I’ve just started playing the game (I know I’m late. I waited till we got a PS4 version.) So I don’t know much about him yet, but as a fan of the High Republic Book series, I was very excited to get another High Republic figure (technically the Acolyte figures are from the end of the High Republic Era). He is the second named character from the Jedi Survivor game, and 4th overall from the series. We’ve gotten plenty of droids, and troopers via the Gaming Greats sub-line from the Jedi Fallen Order/Survivor games but not too many main characters. This is frustrating because the characters included in the game would bring the rest of the figures to life!
Overall the figure looks great. The robes are very detailed and well-painted. The saber hilts are detailed, painted, and connect seamlessly! The articulation is another story. This is another Jedi that lacks the thigh swivel. With Master Indara and Jecki from the Acolyte, at least there was a swivel at the boot to make up for it. The tabards of his robes are flexible enough to allow decent movement. His head does have a limited range of movement due to the inflexibility of his hair. I do wish they could make the hair on some characters more flexible. Qui Gon for the Black Series has a similar issue.
The other issue is that the figure is getting reissued in a two-pack later this year with a transparent force ghost arm. After seeing this release it’s more apparent that they could have made one release with a swappable part, especially when there aren’t any other foreseeable differences between the releases.
